Wosrt User Interface

 

I think one of the unsatisfied user interfaces

I have ever used is the CSE@TAMU application

system.

 

It can implement basic functions for users to apply

for the University, but evaluating from aesthetic perspective, it is not a very good interface.

 

First of all, it's designing style is not very beautiful. It's too simple and makes users feel uncomfortable. When the users log into the application system, they can only see instructions on a white background, without any decoration such as logo of Tamu or CSE Department.

 

Secondly, interactions between system and users seem kind of convinient. For example, in the documents submission part, users can not view documents they submitted anymore. In addition, when a document is submitted, it can not be deleted and if users want to change the document, they need to submit it again, but stll leaving the former one on the server. It's convinient for users if they want to update their documents.

 

In my opinion, the designer of this system can make a better layout by using some images or symbols, which can attract more applicants. Also, after the interface is designed,designers can test the system on some potential applicants and collect their feedbacks to see if there is any suggestion for the system.
